Feedback Thoughts

How could you draw on what you have learned in 23 Things to help you in your work?

For me, its all about being famaliar with the technology thats out there, you don't have to be a master of all, but certainly have enough knowledge to be in a position where you can provide basic guidance to someone encquiring about, say, Google Docs or Scholar.

I don't have the time or need to sit at my desk "utilising" most of these applications, I do at home, but currently I don't need to; that may well change though.

How could the library use the technologies featured in 23 Things to improve its service?

As noted by Ben, I do see a use for instant messaging as regards reference queries, it could be quickly and cheaply implemented.

How do you think the 23 Things program could be improved in the future?

Depending on the degree to which VU goes down the Second Life road, perhaps the inclusion of a SL account as a task.

Also, I am a fan of programs like Adobe Captivate, they are excellent teaching tools, and I am surprised that the Library does not use them more, even for such basics things as, "How do I look for a book on the Catalogue?". So perhaps the creation of a simple tutorial as a task.

Do you think you'll keep blogging or keep using any of the other tools you learned about?

I highly doubt I will keep blogging, I just don't have much to say, or am under the illusion that I do. Delicious, will continue to use, as I had been meaning to get into it beforehand.
